BOONE – Already, nearly 1,000 laps of racing action have been logged and one champion has been crowned as part of Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals 39 presented by Casey’s, but the week hasn’t even officially begun – until now.
More than 900 race cars have been entered for this year’s event, and likely close to 1,000 will participate once late entries are received later this week. On tap for tonight, however, is the late model championship with a full show, along with qualifying for northern sportmods and hobby stocks.
Hobby stocks will set the first eight cars for the inside and middle lines of Saturday’s three-wide “Big Dance.” Northern sportmods will set the first eight cars for the inside line for their championship feature.
Boone isn’t the only track in the Iowa Racing News coverage area that is racing today, though. Huset’s Speedway will also have the second night of its Midwest Sprint Touring Series event. Here are the details for both tracks:

Huset’s Speedway – Midwest Sprint Touring Series
MSTS special with Upper Midwest Sprintcar Series in support. Pits open at 2 p.m., stands at 4. Hot laps begin at 6 p.m. with racing to follow at approximately 7. Divisions racing: MSTS 360 sprint cars and UMSS non-winged sprints. Click HERE for results, when they are available.
